I just got finished doing a 10 minute yoga sequence.
I was out of a book and I wrote it down and memorized it and did it.
It is intended as a “post-workout recovery” sequence – so the idea being you do it right after, or the day after (in my case), a hard workout, to stretch out and relax your muscles etc.
It was good – and I do feel better and energized! – but there is one BIG problem.
Even though I have taken a decent amount of yoga classes – probably 50 or so total in my lifetime – I still feel like a complete novice.
And, the entire time, I was thinking – am I DOING this right?!?
Now if you are a TRUE expert – for example, I consider myself a true expert when it comes to kettlebells – this approach is fine.
I can pull a kettlebell workout out of a training manual, for example, have a pretty solid idea that I’m doing the movements correctly, and run with it.
But if I am not 1000% sure what I am doing, I need FEEDBACK.
And I need that feedback / coaching from a PROFESSIONAL – NOT my friend who is at the same level as me.
I need someone to ask questions, to know if I am doing the movements correctly, to know if I am doing the right sequence based on the rest of my training schedule, to even possibly send videos of me doing some of the more complex moves to check my form.
This is THE way to make the fastest progress, and stay injury free.
And I HIGHLY recommend you do the same.
If you want MY help with your kettlebell / bodyweight training practice, now is the opportunity. Because I am opening spots in my Elite Distance KB Coaching program this week, for a few new clients to work with for the next 90 days, and get into the best shape of their lives:
If you are interested, check out the details using the link above, and submit your application.
(I only open up spots a few times per year, so this could be the perfect opportunity for you to get in the best shape of your life this summer).
And the big take-away from today is, getting with a coach is THE thing you need to make the fastest progress in the shortest amount of time, and reach all of your training goals.
