It has been a big year for me personally with lots of changes.
The most significant one being the birth of our beautiful little daughter about 4 1/2 months ago:
She has flipped my world upside down, but in a very good way. Parenthood is the most amazing experience and I would not trade it for anything. And we are just getting started! 🙂
FVT (Forest Vance Training) has also grown quite a lot in the last year. We have more than doubled our reach online, and also have outgrown our current training space. We are moving to a new 5000 square-foot facility in about two weeks – very exciting stuff!
A growing business presents its own set of challenges, that is for sure … but by far the best part about it is the fact that we can help so many more people as we grow to change their lives with fitness – in the local Sacramento California area, and all around the world.
As we help a higher number of people, I also get the opportunity to observe and see what works and what doesn’t when it comes to making lasting changes for folks and getting them to reach their fitness goals and stay there.
One thing in 2014 that we have done that is brand-new is branched into online coaching. This is been truly amazing – people are getting way better results than they were when I just put together programs and sold them and people followed them on their own.
The big difference between following a program that has been prewritten and coaching is the feedback and personalized tweaks you can get when you’re doing a coaching program.
For example, if you were following a program oriented towards fat loss and lean muscle gain, but one exercise is not working for you as well as you would like it to be, you can get feedback from your coach and find appropriate alternative exercise specific to you, your goals, your fitness level, any injuries you might have etc.
Or, if you’re following your exercise program religiously, but your diet is not as dialed in as it could be, you can get feedback from your coach and recommendations as to what you need to change to get your results back on track.
And another thing to keep in mind – all world-class performers, whether it’s in sports, music, business, or any other variety of endeavors, have coaches – so if you are serious about your fitness, you should too!
Now my elite online coaching program is where I work with you one-on-one and create a customized workout and nutrition plan for you each month. But I only have the time and energy to work with 10 folks at a time in this program. And while it is a great value, is also simply out of the budget for a lot of folks.
That’s why I put together my online group coaching program, called the FVT coaching club.
In this program, you get a new workout from me every month geared towards gaining lean muscle, losing body fat, and feeling great – including a manual and video coaching.
You get a copy of my official FVT meal plan, so you know exactly what to do when it comes to eating properly.
And you get access to a private Facebook group that I have set up, so that you can go in and ask questions and get feedback on the program that you’re doing any current month. We actually have you go in and check in every week (optionally) to hold yourself accountable and let me and others know how you’re doing with your workouts and nutrition plan. This accountability piece is really amazing and helps a lot of folks take the results to the next level! Just this by itself is well worth doing the coaching program in my humble opinion 🙂
